Demonstrators protest outside of the Colombian Embassy in Washington, D.C. on May 7, 2021 in response to the violence occuring in Colombia against demonstrators there. Protests began in Colombia amid poverty and inequality exacerbated by the pandemic and in response to government tax reform, and the police have subsequently killed at least 37 people.
